Setting up

Install Napwatch on two devices with iOS 15 or later, on the same Wi-Fi. On the spare one choose In the nursery and tap Start camera. On your own phone choose With me, tap the camera when it appears and type the 6-digit code shown on the camera. You only do this once.

Questions

The parent unit can't find the camera
  • Both devices must be on the same Wi-Fi network (not one on mobile data).
  • Allow “Local Network” for Napwatch on both devices: Settings › Privacy & Security › Local Network.
  • Guest networks and some mesh systems stop devices seeing each other. Use Add by address on the parent unit with the address shown on the camera.
Alerts don't arrive when my phone is locked
  • Turn on notifications for Napwatch in the Settings app.
  • Start Night watchbefore you lock your phone. Don't swipe Napwatch away in the app switcher — iOS stops it.
  • Keep Send room sound on for the camera; night watch uses it to stay connected.
The camera stops during the night

Keep the camera device plugged in and don't press its side button: locking it stops the camera. Napwatch keeps the screen awake and dims it by itself. If the device gets warm, Napwatch lowers the picture quality automatically.

Do I need a subscription on both devices?

No. The nursery camera is free. Napwatch Plus is only needed on the parent unit. A second parent phone signed in with the same Apple Account unlocks automatically, and Plus can be shared through Family Sharing where available. You can also tap Restore on the paywall or in Settings.

How do I cancel?

Settings › Apple Account › Subscriptions › Napwatch. Cancel at least 24 hours before the trial or the current period ends. Refunds are requested from Apple at reportaproblem.apple.com.

Is it private?

Picture and sound go straight from the camera to your parent unit over your own Wi-Fi, encrypted end to end. There is no account and no Napwatch server. See the privacy policy.

Is Napwatch a medical device?

No. It does not monitor breathing or heart rate and is not a substitute for adult supervision. See the terms.
