World Radio - App-Specific Privacy Policy

This section applies specifically to World Radio (com.ozturk.liveword) and takes precedence over the general policy below for this app. World Radio has no accounts, passwords, advertising, subscriptions, or in-app purchases. We do not sell personal information or use it for advertising tracking.
Radio playback and maps
Your device connects directly to radio stations to play their broadcasts. The station and its streaming provider receive your IP address and the connection information needed to deliver the stream. Maps are provided by Mapbox. Mapbox receives network requests and processes technical and usage data, including SDK identifiers, map interactions, location-related information, and diagnostics, under its privacy policy. The app does not request access to your GPS location. The app is not a service that collects no data: map and streaming providers process data when you use it.

Live text and song recognition
On supported devices and languages, speech transcription processes the radio broadcast on your device. The app does not use your microphone for transcription or song recognition and does not save audio recordings. When you request song identification, ShazamKit creates an audio signature on your device from approximately eight seconds of the broadcast and sends the signature to Shazam. Raw broadcast audio is not sent to Apple for identification. The signature cannot be converted back into the original recording. Results may include song titles, artists, artwork, and links to Apple Music; loading artwork or following those links makes requests to the respective provider.
Automatic recognition is off by default. You can turn it on or off in the song recognition panel. Turning off live text and song recognition in Settings stops both kinds of analysis while playback continues. Recognition results are not added to your Shazam or iCloud music library by this app.
Local storage, support, and your choices
Favorites, recent places, and preferences are stored locally on your device. Audio buffers, transcripts, and recognition results are processed in memory rather than uploaded to a server operated by us. You can remove favorites and change preferences in the app; deleting the app removes its local data. Device backups, if enabled, are controlled by your device and Apple account settings.
If you send a support or station-removal email, we receive your email address, message, and any details you choose to include. We use this information to handle the request and retain it only as needed for that purpose or legal obligations. Data processed by streaming, map, and Apple services is governed by their respective policies and retention practices.
